Design Brief / Overview

More London is a development designed by Norman Foster comprising of six office and mixed-use buildings along with the iconic City Hall on the south bank of the Thames, between Tower Bridge and London Bridge.

 

Solution:

4500 mm high automatic revolving door, automatic swing pass door with concealed in-ground operator. Surrounding screens hung from soffit accommodating building deflections. The clean lines of the fixed glazing above the entrance doors defy the involved structural engineering calculations. Curved glass forming revolving door turned 360º to act as a barrier to prevailing winds thus providing additional draught-proofing to the lobby.
